Sagittarius

She placed the valance over her eyes
unable to differentiate between night and dawn.
Sheer fabric, shear memories,
all play tricks on her mind.
Untrusting and not willing to let go,
all because the Spear has made her bleed.
He has become her sutures,
addiction taking on all new meaning.
Does she stay or does she go?
Does she follow or does she lay low?
Covered in the misconceptions
and held in place by a suffocating pillow.
He will be the death of her,
until the day he is no longer her Air.

Days of Old

Tonight's journey comes from an old journal I found from the days when I was in a band. The front is inscribed as such:

Katherine-
Let the words of your soul transport you on angel wings through life's rain to life's rainbows. You are a precious gift!

I would have added nothing more as the above statement was powerful enough by itself, until a sheet of paper dropped out and I found a song I had written, the second verse fit so wonderfully:

Saturn's rings and all those beautiful things.
The sun,
The Moon,
The sky,
All look after me
and help me to figure out, Why?
